RESEARCH

Geometry meets quantum matter.

My research explores the information encoded in quantum wave functions beyond energy spectra, and its consequences for topological and correlated phases.

01 / Quantum geometry

Geometry of quantum states

Quantum geometry describes how wave functions evolve across parameter or momentum space. I am interested in the quantum metric, Berry and non-Abelian curvature, and geometries that arise in multiband systems and Kramers pairs.

02 / Band topology

Beyond conventional band topology

Some topological structures depend on more information than occupied-band topology or the low-energy nodal spectrum alone. Hopf and real Hopf invariants, delicate topology, and unconventional transitions are representative examples.

03 / Quantum many-body

Geometry and correlations

A longer-term direction is to understand how nontrivial quantum geometry and symmetry can organize interacting many-body phenomena, particularly in narrow-band systems.
